---

Both this lot and the next can be recognised as Burns portrait punch G and are given to the period January-July 1473, with Germyn Lynche as mintmaster. After the death of Barby and the removal of Keyn, Mac Conamhna suggests that Lynche, a highly skilled and experienced mint worker, was re-appointed unofficially before the appointment was made official in July 1473. This extremely rare variety, only known from two specimens, shows suns by the crown. Illustrated as Mac Conamhna fig. 5, no. 13, it is the heaviest coin considered in his paper at 0.64g
