Provenance: DNW Auction T5, 8 November 2007, lot 152.
The earliest dated Yorkshire 17th century token; no example was present in the Hird collection. The obverse utilises one of David Ramage's castle punches, doubtless redolent of the town's castle, besieged three times prior to 24 March 1648/9
