China Foreign Exchange Certificate 10 Fen 1979 Pick FX1s Ten Specimen Examples. These notes were issued on behalf of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange by the Bank of China (the bank tasked with foreign exchange) and were usable only in "Friendship Shops." Like other socialist countries at the time, China also required foreigners to exchange a certain amount of hard currencies for these foreign exchange certificates.
