An extremely impressive specimen struck with medallic quality, this brilliant proof offers lightly frosted devices set against bright, highly lustrous, and mirror-like fields producing its distinctive cameo appeal. Currently the highest graded example from PCGS, with the impressive "+" designation, this exceedingly choice example displays stunning die polish lines and none of the impairments that so often are seen on the few surviving examples of this type. We have previously sold a PR63 example in our New York Sale (January 2017, Lot 3051) for a hammer of $11,000, and expect this superior example to soar to even greater heights.
