Shaanxi (Shensi) Province, Sanyuan County silver Caoding ("Trough") Sycee of 5 Taels ND (c. 1800s) Certified Genuine by HuaXia, cast by Smith De Sheng, 148g, Cribb-XLII.G.512var (different smith). A beautifully-toned example with light iridescent hints of apricot, gold, and sky blue, this pleasing local tax ingot is extremely lustrous for the type. Some light cracks from the casting process are visible along the sides of the piece, but are not unusual and do little to detract from this example's unique eye-appeal.
