Szechuan. Kuang-hsü 50 Cents ND (1901-08) MS63 PCGS, Szechuan mint, KM-Y237.2, L&M-347, Kann-146, dragon with smaller face and essentially perfect reverse lettering. An absolutely stunning example of this conditionally rare issue. The reverse has a soft silvery appearance, while the obverse displays mottled gray patina over lustrous surfaces. The strike is superb, and no significant marks are noted. Only 6 pieces have been certified in Mint State by PCGS and NGC combined, with a single piece finer than this exceptional specimen. By far, the finest we have seen, and extremely rare in this condition.
