French Colony Proof 10 Cents 1879-A PR65 PCGS, Paris mint, KM4. A superb example. Near-flawless details and reflective surfaces beneath gold and gray toning, with bluish highlights. Only tiny, barely noticeable, marks are detected upon close examination. The Proof issues of 1879 are extremely rare and this is the first of the 10 Cent type that we have seen. Only 4 examples have been certified in Proof, with only a single piece certified finer by PCGS and NGC combined.
