French Colony Proof Piastre 1885-A Genuine (Altered Surfaces) PCGS, Paris mint, KM5. Very little evidence of actual circulation and the technical designation seems to refer to a light cleaning that has taken place. Otherwise a very nice showing with substantial eye appeal. Though not noted on the holder, this is a proof issue with a mintage of just 100 pieces.
