Victoria Proof Specimen 20 Cents 1890-H SP66 NGC, Heaton mint, KM12. A gorgeous and rare Proof from this British Colonial series, produced in Birmingham for use in the Straits Settlements which today form parts of Malaysia and Singapore. Quite simply stunning. Victoria's portrait is beautifully engraved with incredible skill, the extraordinary preservation of this piece allowing a full appreciation of every meticulous detail; the planchet itself flashes with an icy white prooflike reflectivity, with a superb coverage of steel-blue patina fringed with red-gold as it meets the argent surfaces. With only two of a higher certification in NGC's database and likely very few with the eye-appeal of this specimen, this is a premium collector's piece deserving of spirited bidding.
