China
Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Henan silver Yaoding ("Waisted") Sycee of 5 Taels ND (c. 1800s) Certified XF by HuaXia, cast by Smith Wei Tongxin, 176g, Cribb-XXXVII.B.408. A highly pleasing example with relatively few casting bubbles visible, though a number of cracks are clearly visible along the sides of the ingot. A crisp central stamp adds further appeal. Appears to be mislabelled on the holder, where the top/first character of the stamp should read "Wei."
