Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Andronicus III, 1282-1328. Hyperpyron (Electrum, 24 mm, 3.65 g, 7 h), Constantinopolis. Bust of Virgin Mary, orans, within city walls furnished with four groups of towers; in fields, effigies of Andronicus II and Andronicus III. Rev. Christ blessing Andronicus II and Andronicus III, kneeling to left and right, respectively; in fields, IC - XC. SB 2461. Minor flan crack and with a graffito on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
