KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios, 323-317 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 17.16 g, 12 h), Sidon, struck under Laomedon, dated RY 15 of Abdalonymos = 319/8 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, O; below throne, ΣI. Price P175. Boldly struck and attractive. Minor marks, otherwise, good very fine.
