LUCANIA. Thourioi. Circa 350-300 BC. Distater (Silver, 26 mm, 15.79 g, 10 h). Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned, on the bowl, with Skylla throwing a stone. Rev. ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ Bull butting right; below, cornucopiae between H-PA. HN Italy 1860. Noe, Thurian N14. A bold and impressive example, lightly toned and with excellent surfaces. Very minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
