CEPOYHNIOY KAΠITΩNOC KAI [IOYΛIAΣ CEO]YHPAC / AKMONEΩN / Zeus seated left, holding patera in his right hand and long scepter with his left; to lower left, [owl standing left, head facing]; in field to left, EΠI APX TO Γ in the form of monograms. RPC I 3176. For countermark, Howgego 241. An interesting and well struck countermark. Light pitting, otherwise, good fine.


The countermark was probably applied at the local sanctuary of Asklepios.
