ΙЄΡΟΠΟΛЄΙΤωΝ ΤωΝ ΠΡΟС Τω ΠY-ΡΑΜω Nike advancing right, presenting wreath to emperor standing left, holding long scepter. Naumann 30 (2015), 381 (same dies). RPC IV -. Of the highest rarity, the second known example. Well struck on a broad flan. Minor smoothing, otherwise, very fine.


The obverse calls Commodus ЄYΤYΧ(HΣ), 'the Fortunate', a rare title on coins.
