Macrinus, 217-218. 'Denarius' (Bronze, 19 mm, 3.80 g, 12 h), a contemporary 'limes denarius', irregular mint, after summer 217-early 218. IMP C M OPEL SEV MACRINVS AVG Laureate and cuirassed bust of Macrinus to right. Rev. PONTIF MAX TR P COS P P Felicitas standing front, head to left, holding long caduceus in her right hand and a cornucopiae in her left. Cf. BMC 40, Clay Issue 2, Cohen 62 and RIC 24 (for prototype). Good very fine.
