ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 148-90/80 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 16.61 g, 12 h). Head of Dionysos to right, wearing ivy-wreath. Rev. HΡAKΛEOΥΣ - ΣΩTHΡOΣ / ΘAΣIΩN Herakles standing front, head to left, holding club with his right hand and lion skin draped over his left arm; in inner left field, monogram. Le Rider, Thasiennes, 52. Prokopov, Group XVI. Stress marks on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
