A. Albinus Sp.f. 96 BC. AR Denarius (17mm, 3.97 g, 3h). Rome mint. Laureate head of Apollo right; star to left, X (mark of value) below chin / The Dioscuri, each holding spear, standing left beside their horses, which are drinking from a fountain; [crescent] to upper left. Crawford 335/10a; cf. Sydenham 612; Postumia 5. VF, toned, some porosity and striking weakness.

The reverse type depicts the Dioscuri watering their horses at the Lacus Iuturnae following their victory at the Battle of Lake Regillus (Ovid, Fasti i, 706-8).
