ITALY, Regno d'Italia. temp. Vittorio Emanuele III. 1900-1946. Tinned Æ Repousée Plate (188mm, 747.40 g, 12h). On the Treaties Ending World War I. Undated, but manufactured 1919. Ornate plate with central radiate sun on granular surface; rim decorated with sixteen skulls, each one displaying some degree of damage; branches of oak and laurel between; above, barbed wire with posts above branches; in space between, dates of treaties of each of the countries / Incuse of obverse with uncertain maker's mark at 12 o'clock. As Issued, a few light marks due to age. Very rare.
