KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great'. 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (25.5mm, 16.99 g, 3h). Tarsos mint. Struck under Menes or Philotas, circa 327-323 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; plow in left field; below throne, pellet above strut, grape bunch below. Price 3026; Newell, Tarsos 35, obv. die XXXIV. Near VF, toned, some porosity and light scratches, obverse struck from worn die.
