Not in BMC, SNG Copenhagen, SNG Aulock, or SNG Kayhan; Pixodarus Hoard Class I, pp. 182-4, pl. 27-8; our coin apparently from a new obv. die, whereas our magistrate is recorded on coins struck from obv. dies 160 and 162. Obv: Bee with straight wings, flanked by ?-F. Rx: Forepart of stag r., looking back, palm behind, magistrate's name [??]???O??[S] before. Scarce magistrate, cited only from two coins in trade in the Pixodaurus Hoard publication.Bee tetradrachms of Ephesus are quite scarce and sought after. Despite the small flan, this example shows a virtually complete bee on the obverse and stag on the reverse . VF
