ATTICA. Athens. Circa 449-404 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 17.18 g, 5 h), c. 430-420. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with three olive leaves and palmette, round earring and pearl necklace. Rev. ΑΘΕ Owl standing to right, head facing the viewer; to left, olive sprig and crescent moon; all within incuse square. Agora 8. Dewing 1596 ff. Svoronos pl. 13, 21 ff. Well entered and clear. Striking flaw on the obverse and flan flaw on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
