LYDIA. Philadelphia. 2nd-1st century BC. (Bronze, 18 mm, 7.85 g, 1 h), Hermippos son of Hermogenes, highpriest. Draped bust of Artemis to right, with bow and quiver over her shoulder. Rev. ΦΙΛΑΔΕΛΦΕΩΝ ΕΡΜΙΠΠΟΣ ΕΡΜΟΓΕΝΟΥΣ / ΑΡΧΙΕΡΕΥΣ Apollo seated left on throne and holding a patera; to right, lyre; on back of throne, owl standing right. BMC 10. SNG Copenhagen 337-338. Dark green patina, well struck and clear. Good very fine.
