Andronicus III Palaeologus, 1328-1341. Assarion (Bronze, 22 mm, 3.37 g, 5 h), Constantinople, 1334-1335. Large NB between two stars. Rev. ANΔPONIKO ΔCΠTH Half-length figure of Andronicus III facing, wearing crown and loros, and holding cruciform scepter and akakia. Bendall 2480. DOC 902-906. Lovely dark green glossy patina; only the second example in the market. Good very fine.
