MACEDON, Thessalonica. Gallienus. AD 253-268. Æ Tetrassarion (28mm, 13.02 g, 6h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Tyche (or Homonoia) standing left, holding Nike and cornucopia; lighted altar to left at feet. SNG ANS –; Touratsoglou – (V5[Mitregent]/R–[unlisted rev. die]; but cf. R2[Alleinherrschaft]). Good VF, green and brown surfaces, a few faint cleaning marks. Extremely rare, this coin the only one listed on CoinArchives.

From the Belgica Collection. Ex G. Hirsch 284 (2 March 2014), lot 3011.

The reverse die noted above had a Δ as its mark of denomination in the left field. As the weights of the two examples cited by Touratsoglou vary greatly (one is 11.99 g and the other is 25.72 g), it is probable that this coin is also a tetrassarion, by virtue of its weight, although here unmarked by a a Δ.
