Constantius II. AD 337-361. AV Fourrée Solidus (21mm, 4.06 g, 6h). Rome mint, 3rd officina. Struck AD 355-357. Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and shield decorated with stars and pellet in crescent / Roma seated facing, holding spear; Constantinopolis seated left, holding scepter and resting foot on prow; they support between them a shield inscribed VOT/ XXX/ MVLT/ XXXX in four lines; RSMT(palm). Cf. RIC 293; cf. Depeyrot 14/1. Near VF, toned, a few marks, wavy flan, core visible on edge.
