(x) Anglo-Scandinavian coinage (c.995-1020), Penny, 1.5g, 'Long Cross / Small Cross' type with bust left, in the name of Aethelred, æÐelred rex aigol, draped bust left, rev. blundered legend [?] opdeheoafhe (Malmer 115.1741 (mis-attributed), chain 105: BNJ XXX (1960-61), p. 246, fig.2, this coin; the obverse known for Canterbury, Leofric (BEH 194) which shares a reverse die with 'Quatrefoil / Short Cross' of Cnut (BEH 154)), obverse weakly struck from a rusty die, fair, reverse double struck but legible, almost very fine, three specimens listed, no. 3 this coin (confirms 'identity uncertain').
