Early Anglo-Saxon England continental phase (c. 695-740), silver Sceattas (5), Series D, type 8", 1.14g, small degenerate votive standard or altar, right-angle motifs adorn, rev. central small cross, two pellets and annulet in field, disjointed lettering surrounds (cf. SCBI 69, no. 184; S.793); Series E (4), variety F, 0.71g, degenerate 'porcupine' head right, pellet-outlined crescent and three bars for face, rev. degenerate altar with central annulet and right-angle and saltire motifs (cf. SCBI 69, no. 287); variety G (3), Kloster-Barthe variety, 0.91g, similar, triangle and cross for face, rev. as last, totii design (cf. Metcalf pl. XIII, nos. 223 & 236); others, imitative variety G2 (2), 0.89g; 0.81g, similar to last, but designs more crudely executed (cf. Metcalf pl. XII, nos. 206-207; S.790D), generally very fine or better, some darkly toned (5).
