Early Anglo-Saxon England, continental phase (c. 695-740), silver Sceattas, Series E (5), variety A, 1.09g, degenerate 'porcupine' head right, three bars for face, pellet above, rev. debased altar adorned with central annulet and totii design (cf. SCBI 69, no. 241; S.790), variety C (3), 1.03g, similar, no pellet above, rev. altar adorned with central pellet, lines and chevrons (cf. SCBI 69, nos. 256/250); also, 0.75g; 0.66g, similar to last, rev. as first, but lettering more crude, and peripheral strokes and motifs representing stylised outer legend (cf. SCBI 69 nos. 267a-268; S.790); additionally, variety L3, 0.89g, plumed bird right rev. debased altars, bars and trefoils motifs (SCBI 69, no. 197; S.791), some with light surface porosity or encrustation, otherwise generally very fine (5).
