Great Britain
George III Maundy 3 Pence 1762 MS66 NGC, KM591. A genuinely stunning example of the type, clearly outranking the other examples certified in the NGC census, this gorgeous example displays a level of original mint luster and crispness rarely encountered on maundy coinage. A pleasing rosy hue has begun to develop beneath the king's bust and equally appealing golden hues emerge around the peripheries on the reverse. The color otherwise remains blast white and the individual features of the design chiseled with an outstanding clarity.
