Watch List notes:

John V Palaeologus, with Anna of Savoy (Regent). 1341-1391. AR Basilikon (20mm, 1.18 g, 12h). Constantinople mint. Christ Pantokrator enthroned facing / Anna and John standing facing; John holds a long cross with X on shaft in right hand, a cruciform scepter in left. DOC –; LPC –; PCPC –; SB –; CNG 58, lot 1498 (same dies). Good VF, toned, large areas of copper deposits, reverse double struck. Possibly an unpublished variant with X on cross shaft, and only John holding the cross.
