WORLD COINS, Grenada-Martinique, Authority on Grenada July 1798, Sixty-Six Shillings, a Joseph I, counterfeit 6,400 Réis, 1771, Rio, centrally plugged to bring the coin up to the minimum weight standard of 7dwt 12grains (the stamp of the goldsmith on the plug omitted), obv. countermarked with incuse g three times spaced around the circumference, then countermarked 20 above eagle raised within a shaped indent (authorised on Martinique September 1805, valued at 20 Livres per gros), 11.61g/179.2gr (cf. Gordon 107; cf. Prid. Grenada 19). Coin and countermarks very fine, extremely rare
