CHINA. Anhwei. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), CD (1898). PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder.
L&M-207; K-61; Y-45.4; Hsu-186; WS-1085. RARE cyclically dated Mint State Dollar. A scarce issue in its own right, but made all the more so being fully lustrous and without evidence of extensive handling or circulation. Of a slightly later die state than most others evidenced by several hairline die cracks radiating from the dragon to the rim. Well struck with attractive lustrous original satiny surfaces and a nice cartwheel effect. Light gray toning throughout. An exemplary specimen of the type with good eye appeal.
