CL-HUN.85; Duan-0899; CCC-173; W-Mule not listed 31 (under Hunan)-21(under Republic general issues); Y-Mule 402 obv.(under Hunan) with 306 rev. (under Republic general issues). EXTREMELY RARE and very interesting. An easily identifiable variety with English letters on both obverse and reverse and the star of the obverse is double punched and rotated slightly. Far superior to the Q. David Bowers/R.B. White example in our April 2018 auction that was graded PCGS AU-50 and which hammered at $1,000. Decent strike with lovely glossy smooth chocolate patina. NGC MS-62 BN.
