CHINA. Hupeh. 20 Cash, ND (ca. 1914). PCGS VF-30 BN Secure Holder.
CL-Unlisted; CCC-Unlisted; Y-A405var. (in copper), Duan-2277 (2011 edition). EXTREMELY RARE. According to the Krause guide, mint attribution is uncertain, it may have been struck in Szechuan for use in Hupeh. Duan states it may have been used as substitute currency. Dark brown coin with crudely-made rims, no marks distract from design. Well deserving of more study for the specialist. PCGS VF-30 BN Secure Holder.
From the Q. David Bowers Collection.

Estimate: $1500.00- $2000.00
