SINGAPORE. Commemorative Proof Coin Set, 25th Year of Independence, 1990.
3 pieces in set. Issued by Singapore Board of Commissioners of Currency, including a platinum $500, a gold $250, and a silver $10. Coins sit on deep chestnut flannelette of the masterfully made original black lacquer box with orchid patterns in peach, pink and orange on its cover with the hinge fully usable. Authorized mintage of only 1,000 sets, this being a high serial #970 as printed on the top right corner of the certificate of authenticity. The box is further wrapped by a paper bag and then a shining silver-colored paper box. Apart from some fog on the reverse of the $10, all coins are in full mint state and not disturbed. Truly a meticulously preserved set worth a premium bid. Some examination suggested. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED.
