THAILAND. 1,000 Baht, ND (June 11, 1951). NGC MS-63.
Fr-B1; KM-3. VERY RARE and the largest of the three issues (KM-1, 2, 3). Obverse: Garuda flanked by sprigs; Reverse: Two line inscription denoting the weight and fineness. 5.59 troy oz AGW. By virtue of the Royal Act of Internal Loan relating regulation of the Ministry of Finance dated 17th May 1943 an internal loan was used by the Government of Thailand. The redemption of the loan was proclaimed 11th June 1951 where bond holders had the option to be paid in either gold bars, gold coins or other forms. All of which should bear the Garuda with an inscription of weight and purity. A lustrous choice example with good surfaces and a nice cartwheel effect. Light tone with hints of iridescence. NGC MS-63.
