Panormos was the principal Phoenician city in Sicily. It produced a limited coinage in the latter part of the 5th century. The Panormos tetradrachms of this time were copied from other Sicilian tetradrachms (some including signatures). This example copied a Katana tetradrachm similar to ACNAC Dewing 581 and Rizzo Pl.11, 4-12.
