Thrace, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.01 g), uncertain mint maybe Amphipolis, issued 288/7-281 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted circle, rev. Athena Nikephoros enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, SW in inner left above an uncertain head, monogram in exergue, to right [B]ASILEW[S] downwards, to left LUSIMAXOU downwards, (cf.S.6814, Thompson -, Muller 462). Bright, a few minor surface marks, otherwise very fine and rare.
