Ionia, Teos, (520-510 B.C.), silver stater, (11.97 g), obv. Griffin seated to right with raised foreleg, NV between legs, rev. incuse square of rough form, (cf.S.3512, Balcer [SNR 1968, Vol.47], Group II No.8 obv. die A8, rev. die P11, Boston Brett 1936). Very fine and very rare.
