Syria, Kingdom of, Demetrios I, (162-150 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.48 g), Antioch mint, issued period 162-155/4 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrios to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right BASILEWS, to left DHMHTRIOU/SWTHROS, monogram ATI in left field, (S.7014, SNG Spaer 1264, SC 1640.1B, HGC 9, 797, CSE 148, SMA Newell 100). Red golden obverse patina, very fine and scarce.
