Recommendation: Palestine-Syria operations 19/9/18 to 4/11/18. This N.C.O. had charge of his Squadron Signallers and during the above operations he has shown to great advantage his intercommunication work being especially fine. For his devotion to duty on the evening of the 27th September when the Brigade was attacking the Jordan Crossing at Jisr Benat Yakub this N.C.O. under a heavy fire established communication with his flanks and R.H.Q. quickly and enabled the Squadron to advance uniformly and thus gain their objective quickly. His lamps used as a guide enabled a quick concentration on the enemy (East) side of the river. This N.C.O. has previously done good service and seen much active service.
