Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (18mm, 4.01 g, 12h). Rome mint; L. Mescinius Rufus, moneyer. Struck 16 BC. Laureate head right / Mars, holding spear and parazonium, standing left on inscribed low pedestal. RIC I 351; cf. RSC 463 and 463a. VF, lightly toned, some small bankers' marks in field.
