Diva Faustina Junior. Died AD 175/6. Æ Sestertius (32.6mm, 29.09 g, 11h). Rome mint. Struck under Marcus Aurelius, circa AD 175-176. DIVAE FAVSTIN AVG MATR CASTROR, veiled and draped bust right / Four-tiered funeral pyre surmounted by Faustina in biga right. RIC III 1709 (Aurelius); MIR 18, 46-6b; Banti 49. Near VF, dark brown and green surfaces with touches of red, roughness with some smoothing. Rare – Banti cites only two specimens.
