Issue of 'Umar ibn 'Ubayd Allah ibn Mi'mar, Zubayrid governor at Ardaxšīr-xvarrah. ST (Stakhr) mint. Dated AH 70 in Pahlavi (AD 689). Crowned Sasanian-style bust right; gwd'n in Pahlavi, lillah al-hamd in Arabic and four pellets in outer margin / Fire altar with ribbons and attendants; crescent and star flanking flames. SICA I 380; Walker, Arab-Sasanian 205; Album 21; ICV 24. VF, slight double strike on obverse, a few cleaning marks. Rare.
