ANCIENT THEMES. Vitellius. AD 69. Æ Cast "Sestertius" (35mm, 22.78 g, 6h). Paduan type. Later cast after Giovanni da Cavino, 1500-1570. Laureate and draped bust right / Mars advancing right, holding spear and trophy. Cf. Johnson & Martini 1530-44 (for type); Klawans 4; cf. Peus 420, lot 251 (for prototype). Near VF, brown surfaces.
