Brazil
Pedro II 960 Reis 1832-R MS65 NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM385, LMB-P517. A rare Gem representative of this three-year type, that despite being the most available date, only saw a paltry mintage of around 3,000 coins. Of those, the present selection is one of only a handful of remaining choice examples to survive, with semi-prooflike glint in the fields, a light overlay of tone in the centers, and an attractive crescent of blue-green color above Brazil's crowned arms. An important coin for the collector of early independent Brazil.
