Created as a memento to commemorate the 50th birthday of King Friedrich August II of Saxony in 1847 and awarded annually to the shooter who was the first to split the wood of their target. Far more attractive than the grade suggests, with stunning amber-filled mirrors that radiate with intense flash, stark cameo contrast over both sides, and slightly wavy fields as always. Superb and absolutely engaging.
