An off-metal strike in gold, likely produced from dies made at the Heaton mint, presenting the bust of Bala Rama Varma II on the obverse and the emblematic conch shell in sprays design on the reverse. Full of vibrant, coppery-gold flash, this beautifully illustrative piece has been carefully preserved, and is currently the only certified example of the type at NGC. Rarely offered at auction, and highly intriguing as such.
