DC-23a-ii $1 1917. Superior centering and embossing is seen on this larger Dominion of Canada issue. This example was the only new design to have been introduced during World War II, and the only note of this 1917 series. Princess Patricia, granddaughter of Queen Victoria, is featured on the face with a view of the Houses of Parliament on the back. This is the sole finest of the type in the PMG Census.
